A submarine is said to have sunk near the Toddeskjoen at the end of WW2. Apparently the submarine was approaching Florø on the surface towards the end of the war in Europe. It unwisely opened fire on a British Mosquito which flew over it. The Mosquito retaliated, setting the submarine on fire. It was put ashore and subsequently sank. It is possible that this could be U320.

The area in which the wreck is supposed to lie consists of reefs which break the surface separated by deep gullies. The seabed is very undulating and difficult to search with a sounder. We tried without success. A magnetometer search might be more effective.
