Topdal was a small iron steamer built in 1874, used as a passenger
ferry for most of her life. She measured 23x4x2m and 70grt. Topdal sank
whilst laid up in Store Lungegårdsvann in July 1946. Apparently the wreck has
not yet been found. This is somewhat surprising since
Store Lungegårdsvann is an enclosed piece of water right in the heart of
Bergen, measuring less than half a mile across and no more than 25m deep.
