This site is strongly recommended by local divers. Two fjord basins are
separated by a shallow ridge with two small islands on it. The tide rushes
through the shallow channels between the islands. The mainland either side is
connected by a bridge, and the dive consists of a drift through any of the three
channels. Access looks tricky for a large boat except near slack water, due to
the presence of bridges with limited vertical clearance, strong tides and
narrow channels - a RIB or
similar is probably required. The dive is under the
bridge at any state of the tide - which runs at up to 6kn. It is about 5m under
the bridge, shelving gradually into deeper water either side. There is dense and
colourful life at this site. It is frequented by catfish and other edible
creatures. Local divers operate an informal no-take policy here.
