Nobel
The 139 brt Nobel was built as a fishing vessel in Bergen in 1912. She had a steam engine, and measured 32x6x4 metres. She was later sold and used for transporting explosives. She sank in a collision in 1937. The Nobel lies to the E of the Felix Scheder, about 100m away in 20m. Plenty of wreckage remains, and cases of (presumably) explosive can be seen. The wreck is in a strongly tidal area, and lies close to the path of the ferry. Slack is around HW/LW. Links |
