Iris
The Iris was a 3300gt German cargo vessel built in Sweden in 1921. She was 95 metres in length and was armed with five anti-aircraft guns. She was bombed and sunk by British aircraft in March 1945. Today the wreck is still reasonably intact, resting on her starboard side in 20-30m. There is still some live ammunition lying on the seabed. The site is somewhat silty and visibility can be poor by Norwegian standards. Links |
