This is a scenic site advertised by a local dive shop, and also recommended by local divers. Furkenholmen is a small islet at the NE corner of Godøya. The 20m isobath disappears on N face of islet, suggesting a cliff to about 25m or so. The position of this site suggests that it will be sheltered from the weather, but exposed to tidal currents, which should mean that it has plenty of life. It is reported that the site is particularly good for anglerfish, cod and lobster (look don't touch in Norway unfortunately); and there are supposed to be the remains of a wooden fishing vessel at around 25m on the N side. There is a similar feature, possibly less tidal, at Haughberget 1km to the west.
