Beaufighter
This wreck is a fairly intact British Beaufighter aircraft in 18-30m, lost in 1945. The nose, cockpit, and one engine are gone. A dive report from 2005 states that only the tail and one wing remain. There were air actions throughout the war, including a major air battle in the area in February 1945, and it is said that there are several other aircraft wrecks in Høydalsfjord. I have no information about their locations. Links |
