Askvoll to Måløy
This area, together with the islands of Sula and Ytre Sula just to the south, contains the greatest concentration of top quality wrecks in the whole of this guide. In addition, a bonus for explorers, there are several reported wrecks that have yet to be located. The mainland coast consists of rugged granite hills and deeply indented fjords. The region around Fløro is an exception, being flatter and more densely populated. The offshore islands have a Hebridean feel to them. In mid-summer they are covered in wild flowers and fruits. Fløro is only 3 or 4 hours drive from Bergen, less by ferry, and makes a good base for a liveaboard trip.
