The Agnes is an old collier which sank alongside the jetty where
she was loading coal during a storm in October 1930. She lies with a 10 degree
list to port, somewhat broken
in 20-40m close to the shore. The bridge has gone, and the stern is flattened.
The bows are shallowest and face NE. The hold is at 25-30m. There is plenty of fish and encrusting life around the wreck, and under the
jetty. There are 2 or 3 more old wrecks on same site, according to
a local. My dive
log says 'as good as the Thesis'.
